En la primera lectura del apóstol San Pablo dice que no se dejen engañar por supuestas revelaciones, ya que muchos por ahí salen con la profecía de que el día del Señor está cerca y que es inminente.
In the first reading of the apostle Saint Paul says not to be fooled by supposed revelations, since many out there come out with the prophecy that the day of the Lord is near and that it is imminent.
Lo único que dice el apóstol es que se mantengan sólo con el evangelio, el anuncio de la buena nueva que es nuestra única guía, que es la palabra que los apóstoles nos han ensenado por voz o por carta.
The only thing the apostle says is that they remain only with the gospel, the announcement of the good news that is our only guide, which is the word that the apostles have taught us by voice or by letter.
En el evangelio se refiere al diezmo, que es un precepto heredado de la tradición judía que tiene su lógica y también una medida justa, pero como suele suceder el ser humano tuerce las cosas y las corrompe y exageran con éste precepto.
In the gospel it refers to the tithe, which is a precept inherited from the Jewish tradition that has its logic and also a fair measure, but as often happens, the human being twists things and corrupts them and exaggerates with this precept.
El diezmo surge cuando abraham fue a ver al sacerdote Melquisedec porque la cosecha se le estaba muriendo y lo perdería todo, este fue y le prometio la decima parte de los bienes si la cosecha se lograba.

Los Católicos somos muy cómodos en ésto, recuerdo en Cuba en la iglesia daban las personas una peseta, Dios mío, para mantener el templo saben lo que significa todo el esfuerzo.

Hoy celebramos a Santa Rosa de Lima o como la nombraron al nacer Isabel Flores de Oliva, siendo de familia noble llevó una vida de severa penitencia ayudando a los pobres y marginados. Nacido el dia April 20 de 1586 y murió el día Agosto 24,1917.
